Mid North Coast Directory
Beginning at Port Macquarie and leading north to Grafton, the Mid North Coast of NSW is full of attractive beaches and farming communities. Just north of Port Macquarie you’ll find the Trial Bay Gaol, which is full of interesting history for the whole family. Driving along the coast you’ll find Point Plomer. Point Plomer offers a great surf beach as well as a fantastic opportunity to dust off the tent pegs and pitch the tent for a truly relaxing getaway.
Further along the highway you’ll come across a large farming town called Kempsey. The town features a particularly interesting museum so make sure you take the time to stop and enjoy all that laidback Kempsey has to offer.
East of Kempsey is Crescent Head, synonymous with surfers for great long-boarding waves. For most of the year you won’t have to share the beach with anyone because this little gem has been relatively kept a secret. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway where you can swim, surf, fish and explore without the bustling crowds of most coastal towns, then Crescent Head won’t disappoint.
